A maximum card puts a picture postcard, a matching stamp, and a postmark from the right place and time into one object. A postmark trail collects cancellations along a route.

How participation works

Aim for the three concordances: the subject, the place, and the time should all match. For a trail, record each post office in the order you visit it.

Before you go

Concordance guidance follows the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie regulations.

Plan the whole route before you start, not just the next stop.

Respect private property, restricted areas, and local law. Take care on difficult terrain, and do not photograph people without their permission.
